MEDICAID WILL ONLY PAY FOR LONG TERM CARE IF THE BELOW CRITERIA HAS BEEN MET!

(This criterion has been known to change annually)


*BE ADVISED*:

In addition to Long Term Care Facilities, this criterion will need to be met even if care is requested at home.


FINANCIAL CRITERIA


  • Medicaid will pay for Eldercare for Maryland residents whose monthly income is about $1,436 per month for a household of one person in 2019... And those with assets totaling less than $2,500.

  • Individuals who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are automatically eligible for Medicaid and do not need to apply


MEDICAL CRITERIA

• Homebased individuals must need help with activities of daily living in their homes and meet the program’s medical level of care; Activities of daily living may include bathing, grooming, dressing, eating and getting around.
